Stargate and Farscape’s Ben Browder Is Coming To ‘Dial the Gate’

Cameron Mitchell himself is coming to “Dial the Gate!” Actor Ben Browder will make a rare livestream appearance on the show this weekend, reminiscing about his career so far and his years on Stargate SG-1.

The live event takes place Sunday, May 19 at 11 a.m. PT (2 p.m. ET, 7 p.m. BT).

Hosted by Stargate fan (and former GateWorld co-editor) David Read, “Dial the Gate” provides an oral history of the Stargate franchise and its 14 years in production – straight from the mouths of the cast and crew who made it. The show is now in its fourth season.

Browder was the break-out star of SCI FI Channel’s Farscape, which aired from 1999 to 2003 (followed by the miniseries The Peacekeeper Wars in 2004). That show aired alongside Stargate SG-1 on Friday nights, so it was particularly sweet for fans when Browder was subsequently cast as Lt. Colonel Cameron Mitchell.

Browder joined the SG-1 team and co-starred in the show’s ninth and tenth seasons, followed by the two movies The Ark of Truth and Stargate: Continuum. That final Stargate project took him to the Arctic, where a skeleton crew filmed the surfacing of a Navy submarine on location.

More recently he has put in appearances on The CW series Walker, and the ABC action drama Station 19.

Other upcoming guests on “Dial the Gate” include Ray Xifo (who played the Nox Ohper), appearing on May 18; siblings David and Kate Hewlett (Rodney McKay and Jeannie Miller) in their first joint appearance on the show, on May 25; and the long-awaited return of executive producer Joseph Mallozzi, also on May 25.
